Basic Business & Financial Training: Practical sessions on budgeting, pricing, record-keeping, and inventory management. Mentorship & Monitoring: Ongoing guidance, progress tracking, and accountability support from HRI and local partners. Community Integration: Engagement with community leaders to strengthen local acceptance, protection, and encouragement for beneficiaries. Selection Process Beneficiaries will be identified through: 1. Community recommendations and vetting 2. Assessment of financial need and business viability 3. Willingness to participate in training and monitoring Expected Outcomes By the end of Q1 2026, the program is expected to achieve the following outcomes: 1. Four widows equipped with viable income-generating businesses 2. Improved household financial stability and ability to meet basic family needs 3. Increased confidence, dignity, and self-worth among beneficiaries 4. Creation of positive role models for other vulnerable women in the community 5. A scalable model for future widow and women-focused empowerment initiatives Long-Term Impact This initiative aligns with HRI’s broader mission of connecting communities to sustainable solutions, demonstrating that economic empowerment is a powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty and dependency. The Q1 2026 program will serve as a foundation for expanding widow and women-led enterprise support in subsequent years.
